Thank goodness my weekday runs are only 4 miles long, but some weeks even that is hard to fit in. The good thing this week is that I got to run in 4 different areas: by the river in Carson, by the beach in Tahoe, by my house in Reno, and finally by the river in Reno, where I did my long run of 8 miles in 1h30. A little slow, I know, but I have such a hard time during the first couple of miles that the only way I can get through it is by going slow. By the time I get to mile six, I feel really good and don’t want to stop anymore, but I know I should keep following the plan and not overdue it.
By the way, I got a Fitbit for my Dad and on his first day he got to 25,000 steps. He is pretty much walking more than half of my co-workers every single day!
