Traveling in Yosemite, California

Between the tufas at Mono Lake, the walk to the giant sequoias at the Merced Grove, the views of Half Dome, and the walk to the dry, but beautiful Yosemite Falls, Dad loved every minute of it. Less than a 4 hour drive from home, I need to get there more often.

Eating in Yosemite, California

Who knew Yosemite had so many good places to eat? The buffet at Curry Village where we stayed had great food and was very affordable, while the buffet at the historic Ahwahnee hotel was very elegant: an oyster bar and live piano music. I recovered all the calories I lost hiking during their Sunday brunch.

Running in Yosemite, California: Half-Marathon Training – Week 7

Another busy week, but at least I got to run in Yosemite National Park before the closure! I woke up early (yes, at 7 am!) and went on a 5 mile jog to Mirror Lake, but the lake was dry 😦 Nevertheless, it was an awesome run with views of Half Dome and some wildlife.

Ps.: Does going to a concert with your personal trainer count as a workout?
